Flamengo have raised their offer for Inter striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report from Milan based news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Brazilian Serie A outfit currently have the 23-year-old striker on loan with them and wish to sign him on a permanent basis with him having scored no less than 33 goals in his 45 appearances for the club across all competitions.
They have offered Inter a sum of €22 million plus bonuses, a deal that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are currently considering although they are in no rush to accept any offers for the Brazilian.
The duo are hopeful that more offers will arrive for Gabigol, who they forked out €30 million for back in 2016, and other offers could soon arrive if other reports in the media are to be believed with several other clubs linked with moves for him, including German Bundesliga club Schalke.
