In today’s paper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Roman newspaper have linked Inter with no less than five names that they could look to sign in the January transfer window to bolster their attack.
Paris Saint Germain’s Edinson Cavani, Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud, LA Galaxy’s pending free agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Juventus’ Mario Mandzukic and Napoli’s Dries Mertens are all players that Inter could explore.
Due to Alexis Sanchez’s injury, Inter find themselves a little short in the attack and had to deny 17-year-old Sebastiano Esposito from going to the under 17 World Cup as a result.
Sanchez is expected to be out for a few months and will return in January at some point all going well meaning that while Conte might struggle with options in the attack for a few weeks it will not be a problem at the turn of the year.
The report states that Conte would instead prefer to see the management team go out and get him a player who can add to his options in the midfield.
