In an interview with Il Roma, former Inter striker Alessandro Alotbelli has spoken on the Serie A title race, taking a look at how each of the main contenders Juventus, Inter and Napoli have got on so far.

“Juve are always the team to beat. Before playing with Inter they had won five games and drawn one, despite not playing very well. Then against the Nerazzurri they played an extraordinary match, they deserved the result,” he said.

“Inter has strengthened considerably and I believe that the defence is among the strongest in the world. They have a strong midfield and can improve in attack, because Lautaro and Lukaku are good strikers, but they need to score more.”

He then suggested how he thinks the final table will look.

“Since Napoli is in trouble, perhaps Inter may have overtake them, which is not the case with Juve though. If at the beginning of the season we put Juve, Napoli and Inter in order, today we have to reverse second and third place, because the Azzurri are not going through a good time, they are not very well placed in the standings, they find it hard to score and there is too much controversy.”
