In an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, journalist Riccardo Trevisani believes Inter will not be too hurt by the loss of Alexis Sanchez to injury.

The 30-year-old Chilean joined Inter on a season long loan from Manchester United in the Summer but sustained an injury during the recent international break that required surgery and he will be out until the new year.

“In these past few matches, Sanchez did not have much influence, aside from the match against Sampdoria in Genoa. Inter have done very well without him,” he said.

“I think the Nerazzurri will continue to do the same, because in addition to Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, Politano will be there to make a contribution. He is someone who has always done well coming off the bench and then there is Esposito too.

“Of course, the loss of Sanchez to injury is very annoying because it hurts a player who was getting better but Inter remains strong even without him.”
