In an interview with Italian radio station TMW Radio, Sky Sport Italia journalist Luca Marchetti has spoken on the positions he thinks Inter will try and target in the upcoming January transfer window.
“Sanchez’s injury could jeopardise this stage of the season for Inter. Having another player like him would have been decisive,” he started.
“Conte will have to make a virtue out of necessity and understand how to intervene on the market to continue to strengthen a rose that will be also be deprived of D’Ambrosio for the next month.”
He then went on to speak on the impact that a few more bodies could make for Inter.
“The gap with Juventus is – in large part – here. A couple of injuries can make the Nerazzurri’s job even more difficult. That’s why in January we will try to see if the market can give Inter a substantial midfielder who is aggressive and physically ‘big’ and maybe another striker too to avoid too many risks in the second half of the season.”
