Nemanja Matic is the first option Inter have in mind to strengthen their midfield department in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb.

The reason for this is Inter manager Antonio Conte has previously worked with the current Manchester United midfielder and because he should be available at a low cost due to the fact his contract with the Old Trafford club is due to expire at the end of the season.

Another reason for Inter focusing their attention on the Serbian is because of how difficult it would be for them to acquire Arturo Vidal from Barcelona. Buying him outright would not be cheap whilst Barcelona are also unwilling to loan him out.

The report also discusses Inter hunt for a striker to bolster their attack too. For the time being Zlatan Ibrahimovic is nothing more than an idea for the Nerazzurri. Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud seems a more feasible option for Inter to go in for whilst Kevin Lasagna, Keita Balde and Andrea Petagna, who have all been linked, are not on Inter’s shortlist.
