Inter coach Antonio Conte is keen to sign former player Olivier Giroud, reports today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport, with the two having previously worked together at Chelsea.

Giroud, who scored for France in their Euro 2020 qualifier against Turkey earlier this week, has expressed his frustration at not playing much for the South London side, due to the incredible form of 22-year-old Englishman Tammy Abraham.

The Nerazzurri, who are looking to add to their attacking depth in January as they continue to fight Juventus for the Scudetto, would be keen to sign the experienced 33-year-old French forward, who already has a previous positive relationship with Conte.

Giroud’s contract expires with Chelsea next summer, meaning the Nerazzurri may only have to pay a small compensation fee to the English side. So far this season Giroud has only managed to make five appearances for the club, failing to even make the squad in their last three Premier League games.
