Inter and Flamengo have reached an agreement in the negotiations for 23-year-old Brazilian striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa, according to a report in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Brazilian side will pay €18 million to the Nerazzurri for the player, with Inter gaining a percentage of the future sale of the player in the range of 20-25%. However, the deal cannot be fully finalised just yet, as Gabigol hasn’t yet given his consent for the move.

If the player does agree to the deal, Inter will still continue to monitor his progress for one reason. The report details how the Nerazzurri are hoping that the 23-year-old’s wondrous form continues and he will be sold in January for a large sum, bringing in even more money.

The Milanese side are keen to purchase a new midfielder in January, but they must consider the restrictions of Financial Fair Play, and so a deal for Gabigol now helps to alleviate these concerns.
