Inter’s clear target in the upcoming January transfer window is Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport, although the deal reportedly won’t be easy to close.

The 32-year-old Chilean worked with coach Antonio Conte at Juventus and the report suggests that the player has a great desire to work under the 50-year-old Italian coach again, with his relationship with Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde deteriorating.

However, this will not be an easy deal to close, with the 32-year-old still being contracted to the Blaugrana until 2021. On the other hand, the money from the sale of striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa to Flamengo may help the Nerazzurri to finance the operation.

If the Nerazzurri don’t secure the services of Vidal, then an alternative in Nemanja Matic may be acquired instead. Conte has previously worked with the Serbian midfielder at Chelsea and maintains a good relationship with the player.
