Inter coach Antonio Conte has had to rotate the squad a little following injuries and fatigue suffered by his players during the international break, according to today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri will be without 24-year-old midfield star Stefano Sensi and Italian international Danilo D’Ambrosio, both injured. Furthermore, former Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin will be on the bench, due to the 50-year-old Italian coach wanting to rest the player ahead of next week’s clash against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Therefore, Conte will start 20-year-old Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni, with Milan Skriniar moving to the right side of the back three, with Dutch international Stefan de Vrij completing the back line.
32-year-old Antonio Candreva will line up in the midfield, replacing injured forward Alexis Sanchez. The midfield will be a trio of Nicolo Barella, Roberto Gagliardini and Marcelo Brozovic. Finally, 22-year-old Argentinian striker Lautaro Martinez will partner with former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku up front.
Here are the probable line-ups of both teams for today’s game:
Sassuolo (4-3-1-2): Consigli; Toljan, Marlon, Peluso, Muldur; Obiang, Magnanelli, Duncan; Traoré; Berardi, Caputo.
Inter (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Antonio Candreva, Roberto Gagliardini, Marcelo Brozovic, Nicolo Barella, Kwadwo Asamoah; Lautaro Martinez, Romelu Lukaku.
