Inter striker Lautaro Martinez spoke to Italian broadcaster InterTV in their post match coverage after the Nerazzurri defeated Sassuolo 4-3 in the Serie A away at the Mapei Stadium

“We know that Sassuolo have good players and move the ball quickly, but we made mistakes. We have to improve; we had the game in hand. Let’s look ahead to the next league game.”

The 22-year-old Argentinian forward then touched on his growing partnership with fellow forward Romelu Lukaku.

“I feel good physically, I’m preparing for the games in the best possible way. When the coach calls me, I’ll be ready. The relationship with Lukaku is going well, it’s something we try to improve in training.”

Lautaro scored twice in Inter’s 4-3 victory today, with the first goal coming after less than two minutes of play. His second was a penalty in the 71st minute, before he was substituted off for Italian forward Matteo Politano. The player has now scored five goals in all competitions for Inter so far this season.
