Inter coach Antonio Conte was the most important person brought to the club during the off season this summer by CEO Beppe Marotta, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The 50-year-old Italian coach seemed destined to be heading to Roma, but the skilled work of Marotta saw the former Juventus and Chelsea coach join the Nerazzurri instead. Despite the losses against Barcelona and Juventus before the international break, the club’s management are intensely satisfied with the work carried out by Conte so far.
The club are relying on the hard work and determination of Conte to carry out their ambitions in both the league and the Champions League, as they look to compete with rivals Juventus for the Scudetto this season and progress further into the Champions League than they have done in recent history.
The report also highlights how the club’s management knew that no acquisition this summer could be more important than Antonio Conte.
