Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is set to hold talks with striker Olivier Giroud with regards to his future ahead of the January transfer window according to a report from British newspaper Daily Mirror.

Giroud has come out in the media recently sharing his disappointment at his lack of playing time this season but Lampard intends to sit down with the Frenchman and tell him that he is part of his plans.

The 33-year-old has found himself behind youngster Tammy Abraham in the pecking order and has been limited to just one start across all competitions this term.

Inter have drawn links to Giroud and are seemingly considering making a move for him to help bolster their attacking options for the second half of the season.

Reports in the media have also stated that the former Arsenal player has received offers to go and play in MLS from two different clubs.
