Journalist Matteo Marani has sang the praises of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez after the Argentine was one of the stars of the show in Inter’s 4-3 win over Sassuolo yesterday afternoon.

“Lautaro is a superlative player. He has everything from power to a savagery in front of goal that few strikers have,” Marani said in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

“He knows how to play very well with Romelu Lukaku, he knows how to turn around and understand his movements, the episode of the first penalty awarded to Inter is indicative of this, when Lautaro was ready to take the ball not intercepted by the Belgian. It is becoming his season.”

Marani went on to conclude: “There were however some problems in the match, particularly Sassuolo’s third goal, which is a goal that Antonio Conte’s team cannot concede. Despite the several problems at the back, I liked the team.”
