Former Inter president and owner Massimo Moratti has shared his views on the start Inter have made to the season with them having won seven of their eight opening fixtures.

Despite picking up 21 points from 24 available, the Nerazzurri are not top and instead find themselves in second place, one place behind arch-rivals Juventus.

Moratti, who was at the helm of the Nerazzurri for almost 20 years, firstly spoke on Inter manager Antonio Conte.

“I was not surprised by his way of being and working. He is a serious coach. He is working very well. I think Inter will fight to the end,” he said in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

“Juventus have shown in terms of the class of players that they have that they have more opportunities to succeed and thanks to winning several titles in a row has another spirit but Inter are proving to have both the quality and character necessary to fight for the title.”
