Whilst Inter do not wish to blame Valentino Lazaro too much for the collapse in performance against Sassuolo which very nearly cost Inter all three points, should the Austrian continue to struggle Inter could be forced to act on the transfer market according to a report in today’s paper edition of Tuttosport.

Lazaro joined Inter during the Summer transfer window from Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin but has found playing time particularly hard to come by having made just two substitute appearances, in both of which he has failed to perform as desired.

He came on in place of Antonio Candreva on Sunday and Inter conceded just a minute later. A minute after that Lazaro picked up a booking and then five minutes later he put up little resistance as Jeremie Boga waltzed by him to add the hosts third goal.

If between now and Christmas time he continues to struggle, the Nerazzurri could add a new full back to their transfer wishlist for the January window. Parma’s Matteo Darmian could be what Tuttosport describe as a ‘lifesaver’ for Inter.
