Inter and AC Milan had a meeting with the Superintendency of fine arts of Milan to discuss what the future could hold for their current San Siro stadium according to a report from Calcio e Finanza.
The two clubs have been clear with their intentions to build a new state-of-the-art stadium to leave San Siro for but it remains a mystery as to what will happen to San Siro once the two clubs vacate it.
There have been several calls made for San Siro to be kept and perhaps even re-purposed despite the fact the two clubs have also made it clear that San Siro would be demolished as part of their project for the new stadium.
At the moment, there are no restrictions for what can or cannot be done to the stadium but this may not come until after the possible declaration of public interest by the City Council in the clubs new project.
The report goes on to add that parts of the stadium, namely the second tier and the ramps have been considered worthy of possible restrictions being placed on them and it also states that the two clubs have been asked to consider other possibilities than completely demolishing San Siro.
