Ex-Inter Striker Milito: “Thiago Motta Is The Right Man For Genoa, I Always Imagined Him As A Manager”

Legendary Inter striker Diego Milito has backed former Inter teammate and friend Thiago Motta to be a success following his appointment as manager of Genoa.

“Thiago Motta is the right man for Genoa. I am convinced that he can do really well there and I will talk to him soon,” he remarked in an interview with Corriere dello Sport, which appeared in today’s paper edition of the Roman newspaper.

“He will be able to prove his worth now as a manager after having won a lot during his playing career. He has always had football on his mind, his role in the midfield allowed him to have a real overview of what was happening on the field.

Milito, who played with Motta at both Genoa and Inter, concluded: “I must confess that I always imagined him as a manager. He came through the ranks at Barcelona and he has a precise approach.”
