In an interview in today’s paper edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, former Inter youngster Federico Bonazzoli has shared his regrets.

“I found myself in a world I didn’t think I could be a part of from day one. In the past I made mistakes,” he said.

“Everyone spoke about me as being an Inter player but in reality I was only an Inter Primavera player. I had all the eyes on me but senior football is different.

“Sampdoria have given me an opportunity at the start of every season but then I always end up going out on loan. Last year was not a bad season for me, even if Padova got relegated.

“All the past experiences have given me something more in terms of character but now I have to do something more. I decided that this would be the turning point, I owe it not only to myself but also to my parents and Sampdoria, who always give me confidence but in the end, it all depends on me.

He concluded: “I don’t want to just be satisfied and I hope to make a contribution to get out of this complicated moment.”
