In an interview with Sky Sport Italia, Nicolo Barella has shared his thoughts and feelings following Inter’s 2-0 Champions League group stage victory over Borussia Dortmund.

“We won because we were always compact, without giving an inch. That is what the manager asks of us. We have often played big matches and not got what we deserved. With these teams, if you do not kill matches off, then you risk losing it as we did against Barcelona.”

He then spoke on how Antonio Conte is helping him with his discipline, even if he still did pick up a booking during the match.

“I am much more careful now. The manager is helping me and I am happy to be able to handle these situations.”

He concluded: “We are on a journey, we are also growing with the mistakes we make. We suffered very little in this match and now must look toward the next game.”
