Mauro Icardi has shared his delight following his brace in PSG’s 5-0 rout of Club Brugge last night in the Champions League.
“I am very happy with the goals scored and the victory of the team. We knew it would be difficult to win here, because Brugge are a tough team,” he told Le Parisien.
“The first half was tough, but we went out after half time with another mentality by changing our strategy. We know that we have quality.”
He moved on to discuss playing alongside Kylian Mbappe and his relationship with Edinson Cavani and Keylor Navas.
“I am happy to be able to play with Kylian Mbappe, he makes things easier on the pitch. We all know his skills, we understand each other very well.
“I also have a good relationship with Edinson Cavani and I think that is important for the team as a whole. As for Keylor, we live together at the hotel. We have created a real friendship.”
He concluded by speaking on his future: “For the moment, I am just looking to take advantage of the opportunity to be here in Paris, we will see what happens next year.”
