Lautaro Martinez is being considered by Barcelona as a possible successor to Luis Suarez according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

As a result of this, Inter are set to hold talks with the player’s agent, Beto Yaque, over a new and improved contract, which will see his current release clause significantly increased.

The Argentine striker currently has the highest release clause of any player in the Inter squad of €111 million and as per the Spanish report, Inter will look to raise that all the way up to €200 million in a bid to deter clubs from coming in for the 22-year-old, who they have extremely high hopes for.

Lautaro Martinez is in his second season with the Nerazzurri following a €24 million transfer from Racing Club in the Summer of 2018 and has netted five goals in 10 appearances across all competitions this season as well as providing two assists.
