Matias Vecino will undergo tests to assess his condition with him suffering from muscle fatigue only a few hours before Inter’s Champions League group stage clash with Borussia Dortmund, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Uruguayan’s presence is at great risk for tonight’s crucial match against the Bundesliga outfit, which is due to kick off at 21:00 local time.
If tests go well, Vecino could quite possibly make the bench but should they not go well, Antonio Conte could call upon Borja Valero to replace him on the bench for the first time this season in Champions League action.
The veteran Spanish midfielder, whose contract with the Nerazzurri club is up at the end of the season, has yet to feature whatsoever across Inter’s 10 competitive fixtures across all competitions.
The report goes on to state that Conte will deploy the same midfield as he did for the match against Sassuolo in Roberto Gagliardini, Marcelo Brozovic and Nicolo Barella.
