Inter have are back in the race to qualify from the group stage of the Champions League after a 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.
Antonio Conte’s men did exactly what they needed to do against Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund and took all three points thanks to a goal in each half from Lautaro Martinez and Antonio Candreva.
The Nerazzurri conceded very little defensively and struggled at times going forward but created enough to score two as well as winning a penalty that Sebastiano Esposito won but that Lautaro Martinez hit too low and was therefore saved.
An important win which means that Inter are ahead of Dortmund in the standings ahead of the return fixture in a fortnight which will be decisive as to who will join Barcelona in the round of last 16 of the Champions League.
