In an interview with Inter TV, Antonio Candreva shared his thoughts and feelings following Inter’s 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.
“We played a great game, my goal ended the game. The most important thing is to have won. We suffered when we had to suffer, held the ball when there was a need to keep it and adopt the necessary choices in all circumstances. We still have a lot of games ahead of us in the group,” he started.
He then spoke on the Antonio Conte effect on the team.
“We are trained by a great manager, whom we follow to the letter: everything becomes easier on the pitch. We just have to be happy to have a manager like him, because he can give us so much.”
He concluded by speaking on Sebastiano Esposito, who made his Champions League debut.
“Since the start of pre-season he has done very well. He is a great boy and great worker too. He listens and is humble but we must not give him too many compliments. He knows what he is capable off but still has a long road ahead of him, it is up to protect him and make him grow well.”
