Inter Fans Get First Chance To See Lautaro Martinez & Esposito Play Together In UCL Win Over Borussia Dortmund

Inter fans were not only treated to a victory over Borussia Dortmund but were also given a first opportunity to see Lautaro Martinez and Sebastiano Esposito play together in competitive action, a report in today’s paper edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Lautaro grabbed his fourth goal in his past four games as he gave Inter the lead at the mid-way point of the first half and had the opportunity to double his – and Inter’s tally – from the penalty spot.

Soon after coming on Sebastiano Esposito made a brilliant run into the box and was fouled by Mats Hummels. Lautaro stepped up but saw his effort saved by Roman Burki. Despite being the first to the rebound, 17-year-old sensation Esposito unfortunately fluffed his lines and could not get a shot away from close range.

The fans present in San Siro were particularly impressed by Esposito, who became Inter’s second youngest player to ever play in the Champions League, and cheered his every touch on the ball after giving him a warm welcome when he replaced Romelu Lukaku around the hour mark.
