Lautaro Martinez has shared his thoughts and feelings off the back of Inter’s 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
“I always try to work hard in order to become great together with Inter. I try to follow the instructions of the manager and improve my understanding with my teammates,” he said in an interview with Inter TV.
“We needed to get back to winning in the Champions League in front of our fans. We did it, we are back on track but we must immediately think of the league again because we take on Parma on Saturday.”
He then spoke on his huge hike in playing time compared to last season with him now almost a guaranteed starter unlike last season where he was a bit-part player for the most part.
“Every day I work to improve. Clearly we are doing a great job on the physical level, with the coaching staff. I am happy to play many minutes, unlike last year: when you come on at the end of each game, you have little time to show your qualities. So therefore I want to thank the manager.”
