Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has been awarded with this years Golden Award at the 14th annual Bindun award ceremony.
Marotta was given the award this year for his work in sport and for helping causes which help children and families that find themselves in difficulty.
“There is still much to do, but I believe that availability and sensitivity in the world of football is significant. The Binduns are an important reality at national level, they are a point of reference for many families, who receive constant help and a smile,” he said upon receiving his award at the ceremony, as quoted by the official Inter club website.
Bindun was set up back in 1982 by several people, including former Inter players Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bergomi, Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Baresi and Riccardo Ferri among others. Bindun was set up with the intention of carrying out some concrete solidarity projects to help those in need.
