Speaking in the Sky Sport Italia studios, former Inter player turned pundit Daniele ‘Lele’ Adani reflected on Inter’s performance against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

“Inter is still very compact, with a combination of intent, a capacity to hurt others and suffer in a game where the other team has more of the ball. Conte’s team was able to get away with being a little wrong whilst still producing what was necessary,” he said.

“The result is important and obtained with merit against a really strong opponent in Borussia Dortmund. Inter knew how to handle all the aspects of the game. It was a super positive evening for Inter and a deserved result.”

Adani then shared his thoughts on Romelu Lukaku, who really struggled to get involved before being substituted around the hour mark.

“Lukaku is an important player who was signed to be decisive in those games. Even if not at 100% he should reach 15-20 goals in Serie A. The fact he didn’t perform makes Inter’s victory even more important.”
