In an interview with Italian radio station Radio Sportiva journalist Stefano Cecchi has spoken on the comparisons being made by many between current Inter striker Romelu Lukaku, and the player he replaced, Mauro Icardi.

“Lukaku is good centre forward, but he is different to Icardi. Lukaku plays with the team whilst the Icardi is a soloist. As I say, they are different and hardly comparable for different reasons. Who would I prefer in my team? In my team I would take Icardi over Lukaku,” he stated.

Belgian international striker Lukaku has got life at Inter off to a relatively good start with him having netted five goals in eight league appearances. He has however struggled to perform in his two Champions League appearances against Slavia Prague and Borussia Dortmund.

Icardi, who joined PSG on loan from Inter on transfer deadline day, has got off to a good start in the French capital having notched five goals in his six appearances across all competitions to date.
