Inter could have six Italian’s in their starting line-up for just the second time in the past 25 years for the match against Parma according to a report from Milan based news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.

Antonio Candreva, Roberto Gagliardini, Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella, Cristiano Biraghi and one of Matteo Politano or Sebastiano Esposito could well start in Inter’s ninth game of the Serie A campaign at home to the Ducali.

The only time this has ever happened in the past 25 years was during one of Stefano Vecchi’s interim stints in charge of the first team – with two of the above players also featuring on that occasion.

Back on the final day of the 2016/17, Vecchi deployed Danilo D’Ambrosio, Marco Andreolli, Davide Santon, Roberto Gagliardini, Antonio Candreva and naturalised Italian, Eder.

He did so against Udinese, who Inter went on to defeat 5-2, with Eder grabbing two of the goals on the day.
