Parma full-back Matteo Darmian, who is likely to feature against the Nerazzurri tonight, could become a potential transfer option in the future, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 29-year-old Italian has many admirers at Inter, from coach Antonio Conte to Inter CEO Beppe Marotta. This is due to his similar characteristics to Inter player Danilo D’Ambrosio, with both players being able to play in a variety of positions in Antonio Conte’s tactical plans.

The 50-year-old Italian coached Darmian in the Italian national team, with the duo working together at the European Championships in 2016.

The report adds that whilst the former Manchester United and Torino full back isn’t a transfer target at the moment, he could become one in the future of a variety of reasons.

These reasons include a serious injury to Danilo D’Ambrosio, or if 23-year-old Austrian Valentino Lazaro doesn’t adapt fully to Conte’s tactical plans at Inter.

Furthermore, the report highlights, Inter already have a positive relationship with Parma, which could help a potential deal take place.
