Inter are prepared to approach Barcelona again for Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
The report details how Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio are keen to reignite their discussions with the Blaugrana for the 32-year-old midfielder, who is contracted to the Catalan club until 2021.
Inter attempted to sign the player in the summer transfer window this year, but a deal never materialised, and Vidal ended up remaining with Barcelona. However, the Chilean has found limited playing time for the Spanish side so far this season, only starting one time in his eight appearances so far.
The report suggests though that a deal may only appear if Inter manage to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League, putting even more pressure on the Milanese club to perform in Europe’s most prestigious club competition.
