Inter have made an enquiry to Manchester United with regards to the availability of midfielder Nemanja Matic according to a report in today’s paper edition of La Repubblica.

The experienced Serbian international midfielder has found himself very much out of favour this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the red devils.

He is under contract until the end of the season but despite this, the Premier League club still value him at €25 million and do also have an option to extend his contract by a further season.

Matic earns €7 million a season at United, something Inter are unwilling to pay him. It is due to high salaries that Inter have also shelved the ideas of signing either Arturo Vidal or Ivan Rakitic from Barcelona. The fact Barcelona are also requesting one of Lautaro Martinez, Stefan de Vrij or Stefano Sensi as part of a deal has also put Inter off.
