Speaking as she appeared in her usual role on Sport Mediaset television show Tiki Taka, Wanda Icardi, the wife, and agent, of Inter striker Mauro Icardi has revealed he could have joined Inter’s city rivals AC Milan.
“There was a chance that Mauro could have went to AC Milan. Personally, a choice like this would have been more comfortable, as we would have been staying in Milan, but a team like the PSG was the best decision for his career.”
She added: “Going to France was the most difficult choice for me. My children are in Paris which was better for Mauro’s career.”
Since joining the French powerhouses on transfer deadline day of the Summer transfer window, 26-year-old Icardi has been in fine form with him having scored seven goals in as many games for the reigning Ligue 1 champions, where he is playing alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Neymar.
