Ferri: “Conte’s Realised Something Is Missing, Inter Can Still Improve”

In an interview with Radio Sportiva, former Inter player Riccardo Ferri has shared his thoughts on the gaps that appear to be showing in the Inter team.

“Conte is taking stock of the work done in the first few months and realises that something is missing, but the owners knows it too, but they have made an extraordinary effort to change the face of this team,” he said.

“Inter’s ambition can ensure that this team can still improve. If there were two or three players capable of raising the quality of the team, the club would think about them.”

The former defender then spoke on the current state of Inter’s defence.

“The defensive line is made up of great quality players, but they are all central defender and those who play on the outside of the three must adapt. I have no doubt about the individual qualities of Godin, Skriniar or de Vrij.

“Perhaps Godin is having some unexpected difficulties but I am confident because in the near future Inter should get some satisfaction.”

He concluded by speaking on the new stadium situation.

“The city council does not want to go down the one that demolished the San Siro. Restructuring it would not give satisfactory results and it would cost even more, it is right that Inter and Milan build a new stadium, so they can return to being protagonists.”
