Speaking in an interview with Inter TV, Inter chief executive Alessandro Antonello celebrated Inter posting club record revenues of over €400 million for the first time ever.

“The results are the result of something that has been three years in the making. The €417 million is historical, the revenues before Suning arrived were less than €200 million,” he started.

“It is the result of a job where we have worked on several fronts. Everyone moved in the same direction. So many new partners have embraced our project.”

He then spoke on Inter’s attendances.

“Our fans always follow the team with so much love and affection. Last year the total attendance was more than one million. We are first in Serie A and fifth in Europe. We are really very happy to have passed clubs like Real Madrid and Arsenal in this regard.”

He then spoke on the growth on the club’s social media platforms.

“We have achieved more historical records here. We have 28 million followers. The content produced by Inter Media House is always great quality. We are trying to increase our fan base, with an eye on young people and those with an interest in women’s football.”

He concluded by discussing the plans for the future.

“For the future we must have a more global perspective. We must open up to new markets such as China and the United States and then we will expand the fan base to attract new sponsors.

“In the meantime, we have acquired the rights to retail and licensing from Nike, which is an important step for the future growth of the club.”
