Inter’s new main shirt sponsor will come from China according to a report in today’s print edition of Roman news outlet Corriere dello Sport.

This news comes despite the fact that following Inter’s shareholders meeting yesterday, chief executive Alessandro Antonello confirmed that for the time being the club has no alternative in mind to Pirelli – who have been the main shirt sponsor for two decades now.

As per Corriere dello Sport’s report, Pirelli will remain a club sponsor going forward albeit in a different and as yet unknown capacity but will not be on the front of the Nerazzurri’s jerseys. A Chinese company, who will give Inter between €25-30 million a season will come in and replace them.

It remains to be seen when this change will occur but it can be presumed that it will take place at the end of next season, which is when Pirelli’s deal is to expire.
