Mircea Lucescu has shared his thoughts ahead of tonight’s meeting between two of the clubs he formerly managed, Brescia and Inter.

“Inter has a valuable team and a coach who keeps everyone under pressure but from the point of view of the game, Brescia is superior. The Rondinelle can make a good impression beyond the result. They can get a result against Inter” he said in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.

“Corini makes the team play well and this is very important. There is no reason to question him. Today, what counts for Brescia is safety, the team is young and has plenty of time to grow again.”

He also spoke on Sandro Tonali, who has been one of the star’s of the show for Brescia upon their return to Serie A.

“He’s doing really well, really he is and this year he will improve again. Then he will go somewhere else. Tonali is a player with a great future ahead of himself. Why not at Inter?”

In conclusion he was asked who he will be supporting in the match.

“Brescia because Brescia was an important stage for my coaching career in Italy. The Nerazzurri fans will forgive me, but it’s a special game. Obviously I am backing Inter to win the Scudetto.”
