Former Inter director Ernesto Paolillo has shared his thoughts and feelings on the current Inter side in an interview with calciotoday.it.
“Conte is right. He has a strong appeal and it is right that he does so considering his role. He is entrusted with the project, he must ask for the best results on the field. Now it is up to others, who must satisfy him within the limits of Financial Fair Play.
“I hope his demands will be met because it is true that they always play the same at the moment. Let it be clear that doing business in January is not like going to a store and buying what you see. To build a team to compete for the title it takes time but I trust that Beppe Marotta has the ability and experience to do this.
“Conte wants to win immediately and that is good but to do this you need to acquire a certain mentality. Unfortunately Inter have had some slowdown with the Thohir management and now they must work to recover from the mistakes of the past.
He concluded the interview: “Inter has two advantages though: They have Conte as manager, he needs to be listened to when he complains. The other are the two great directors Inter have in Marotta and Antoenllo. They will do great things, I’m absolutely convinced about it.”
