Former Inter defender Riccardo Ferri has spoken on Inter manager Antonio Conte’s outspoken nature and what he thinks Conte has now realised about the team.
“The coach has the right to say what the temperature of the locker room is and he also has a duty to say certain things, maybe he is just a little more outspoken and out of line than others who want to solve things by not talking about it,” he said in an interview with Radio 24 show ‘Tutto Convocati’.
“After 4 months, having had the opportunity to see the dynamics of the team, Conte has come to realise that with some targeted additions this year they can shorten the distance with Juventus and Napoli.
“Inter need Arturo Vidal but also some spare parts. Conte is squeezing everything out of the team. Antonio Candreva is having a good season but cannot keep this up all season long. Diego Godin is playing on the outside of the back three and he is not yet at an optimal level and when faced with a one-on-one situation he is often made to pay.”
