Inter & AC Milan Unhappy With Some Conditions Placed On City Council’s Declaration Of Public Interest

Inter and AC Milan are unhappy with two of the conditions that the Milan city council have imposed upon the declaration of public interest they gave for the two clubs brand new stadium project according to a report in today’s paper edition of Corriere della Sera.

One of the conditions the clubs are unhappy with relates to the noise that the new stadium would create. The second relates to the future of San Siro. The city council wish to see the clubs current stadium remain and be renovated in order to host other matches such as those of youth/women’s teams.

The clubs are against this idea as there would then be no space for them to build offices, hotels and the other things they have planned for their renovation of the San Siro area. Moreover, it would only add time to what already looks set to be a long process and will also only make things more expensive.

The report goes on to conclude that the council board should also declare a public interest in the project this coming Tuesday.
