Inter’s go momentarily top of the Serie A after a 2-1 win away against Brescia at the Stadio Mario Rigamonti after a goal in each half from Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

Samir Handanovic – 7: A true captain’s performance by the best goalkeeper in the Serie A. Phenomenal saves time and time again winning his team the points.

Diego Godin – 6: Looks much more at home to the right of defence in the back three. Reads the game so well and is a pain to go up against.

Stefan de Vrij – 6.5: Makes defending look so easy and effortless. His passing in buildup play is stunning. Currently Inter’s best central defender by a mile.

Milan Skriniar – 6: Solid performance by the Slovak whose passing in buildup play was his strength against Brescia whilst his timing when tackling was off.

Antonio Candreva – 6: If Antonio Conte was his coach throughout his career he’d be a candidate for the ballon d’or. Thrives in the wingback role.

Nicolo Barella – 6: Mature, intelligent, hard working, technical and a great passer of the ball who makes you forget his age. An absolute gem of a player.

Marcelo Brozovic – 6.5: Demonstrated his quality, showing that the poor performance against Parma was a one off. Must be rested as he’s beyond exhausted.

Roberto Gagliardini – 6: Looking more and more like the player Inter signed from Atalanta. Loves playing in the midfield role Conte has him playing in.

Kwadwo Asamoah – 5.5: Ran his socks off usual but struggled throughout the night when Brescia overloaded his wing. Brought off in 81st minute for Biraghi.

Lautaro Martinez – 6.5: Scored a lucky goal but looked much more alert and awake than against Parma. His partnership with Lukaku looks really good.

Romelu Lukaku – 7: When his team needed him the most he came up with the goods scoring a goal that showed all his detractors the class he possesses.

Cristiano Biraghi – N/A: Came on in the 81st minute for Asamoah and didn’t play long enough to be able to be given a rating.

Sebastiano Esposito – N/A: Was brough on in the 84th minute for Lukaku and didn’t play long enough to be able to be given a rating.

Antonio Conte – 6: Got his starting lineup spot on as well as his tactics from the get go. However seems to forget that he’s allowed to make substitutions.

Michael Fabbri – 6.5: Difficult game for the referee between two cranky sides who kept going up in his face. Got all important calls right.

Inter – 6: An important win away against a tricky side that will undoubtedly cause all teams trouble at their homeground. Conceded again.
