Ex-Inter striker Antonio Cassano believes that the Nerazzurri need to recruit another striker in the upcoming January transfer window.

“Inter need a striker as Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku are playing all the games. They have to do something in January for sure,” Cassano, who spent one season on Inter’s books, remarked as he appeared on Sport Mediaset show Tiki Taka.

The Nerazzurri have drawn links to several strikers in recent weeks and months in the media. Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud is a player that has been mentioned, mainly down to the fact Inter manager Antonio Conte knows him well having worked together with him at Premier League side Chelsea.

Former player Zlatan Ibrahimovic has also been linked with a sensational return to the club. The veteran Swedish striker’s deal with MLS side LA Galaxy is due to expire at the end of December, meaning he will be a free agent come January 1.
