Gabriele Martino, the head of the Italian Sporting Directors Association, has sang the praises of Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta on the sidelines of the second edition of the Oreste Granillo Award.
“Marotta is a top level sports director that has done and won a lot during his career. He demonstrated his qualities at Juventus and is now doing the same at Inter, managing to make the team that the owners make available to him work better and this is fundamental,” he is quoted as saying by citynow.it at the event which took place at the Palazzo Alvaro in Reggio Calabria.
“He works closely with the owners and knows the legal, technical, psychological and administrative matters, a figure that today is of great importance for a club as well as a rarity. It is no coincidence that Inter’s ownership wanted his services, Marotta is a person with such complete characteristics that few can afford.”
