Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is on the verge of agreeing to a new contract with the club with the process down to the final details according to a report in today’s print edition of Roman newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Ausilio’s contract was due to expire at the end of the current season but the contract extension – which is and always has been seen as a formality – will see him extend his time at the club until at least the end of the 2021/22 season.
In signing the extension, Ausilio will be tied down for the same amount of time as two other key staff members at the club, chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and manager Antonio Conte.
Ausilio’s management career at Inter began way back in 1998 when he joined in a role relating to the youth teams and he has worked his way up the club to reach the position he is in today.
