In an interview with FIFA.com, Inter Primavera talent and Italy under 17 international Wilfried Gnonto has spoken on how it feels to be at the Under 17 World Cup in Brazil.

Gnonto is just 15 years old but will celebrate his 16th birthday whilst at the tournament – which he has already scored three times at – and was asked if he thinks there will be birthday celebrations.

“I do not know if there will be a birthday party for me but I will be happy if we go on to win, if we lose, I do not know. Just being here and being able to celebrate is fantastic. Even more so if we are win again,” he said.

“I did not know [that I was the youngest scorer in the tournament]. It is really great because I am also the youngest in the team. I am just really happy to be here.

He was then asked how he would deal with a potential match-up against Inter Primavera teammate Lucien Agoume, whose France side have also qualified for the knockout stages.

“I hope to get the better of him and to go even further.”
