Barcelona hope to secure an option of sorts on Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

In exchange to opening themselves up to the sale of Arturo Vidal, who is widely reported to be Inter’s number one transfer target for the January transfer window, the Spanish giants wish to secure an option which would grant them preferential treatment for Sensi next Summer.

Barcelona had shown an interest in signing Sensi prior to his Summer transfer window switch to Inter from fellow Serie A side Sassuolo.

Sensi got life in a Nerazzurri shirt off to a flyer with his performances further impressing Barcelona bosses but he has been missing the past few weeks due to an injury.

Inter, as the report goes on to state, have little interest in starting negotiations involving one of their top players and the same goes for Lautaro Martinez, who Barcelona have reportedly identified as a potential replacement for Luis Suarez.
