Inter striker Romelu Lukaku spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia following the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 victory over Bologna tonight, where the 26-year-old Belgian scored both goals.
“This penalty was very important, we had to win. Bologna were good, they played with a lot of intensity; but today the team’s mentality was very good and I’m happy. If I’m surprised by my impact? No, it’s the everyday mentality. I’m 26 years old, I have to grow like the whole team. I don’t look at Juve’s results, for me it’s important that Inter win. Today we won and that’s fine.”
The Nerazzurri’s victory tonight over Bologna sees them return to the top of the league table, two points ahead of rivals Juventus. The Bianconeri play Torino tonight in the Turin derby and anything less than a win will see Inter remain top going into the next gameday.
Inter’s away victory over Bologna also sees the Milanese side continue their perfect away record in the league this season.
