Legendary Italian manager Fabio Capello has spoken on the strong foundations that Antonio Conte has set at this early stage of his time in charge of Inter.
“Conte has taken Inter to play with a defence of the highest level and gets results based on this,” he said in an interview with Italian radio show Radio Anch’io Lo Sport.
Capello also commented on the latest racist incident which saw former Inter striker Mario Balotelli take matters into his own hands by picking up the ball and booting it into the offending section of Hellas Verona supporters before storming off the pitch.
“We have given importance to these people, nobody has had the strength to condemn them. They feel strong in a group and sheepish when they are not in a group. In being like this, they show their obscene way of thinking. Balotelli’s reaction was excessive but important. We need action, not just words.”
